Drew Brees – $130 Million


Drew Christopher Brees is a professional quarterback, who studied at Purdue University before making his way into the NFL in 2001. He was drafted by the San Diego Chargers as its second-round pick. Brees led the San Diego Chargers into the Super Bowl Championship. He stayed with the team from 2001 until 2005. In 2004 and 2008, he was named the Comeback Player of the Year. From 2006 up until now, he’s been playing for the New Orleans Saints. In 2011, he received credit as the National Football League Offensive Player of the year. He also received the MVP award on Super Bowl XLIV. His current net worth is estimated at $130 million, and he has an annual salary of $22 million.

In his first two decades in the NFL, Drew earned $250 million in salary alone. On average, he earns $15 million per year from endorsements. In 2005, Brees was given a one-year, $8-million contract by the Chargers. In 2006, he signed a 6-year, $60-million contract with the Saints which included nearly $22 million in bonuses. He has signed a number of contracts since 2006, including a five-year, $100-million contract (the most amount of guaranteed money in NFL history at the time), and a two-year, $50-million deal signed in 2018.
