Most people assume that athletes have it easy when it comes to losing weight. This isn’t always the case, however. For the tennis champion, it was actually quite a struggle. After Serena Williams gave birth to her daughter Olympia, she began the tedious process of bouncing back. The tennis star thought breastfeeding and following a strict vegan diet would help, but she kept on gaining. She said that she was eating a healthy diet, and she did not was that weight of not breastfeeding.
Her husband, Alex Ohanian, did help and support her through the process—but the battle was mostly with herself. Fortunately, after she stopped breastfeeding, the weight began to drop. It had been quite the journey, but her degree of discipline never wavered. That’s on her being “super”— both as an athlete and as a mother.
