Johnny Mathis – HOLLYWOOD HOMES – $6 MILLION

Grammy Lifetime Achievement Awardee Johnny Mathis deserves the accolade because of his relative success when it comes to his albums. Dozens of them have either reached platinum or at least gold status. Plus, 73 of his songs also made it to the Billboard charts. This goes to show that his decision to switch focus from making singles to albums a wise decision. People also have come to love his six Christmas albums.

Mathis, however, suffered a significant financial setback in 2015, when a fire broke out of his Hollywood Homes. The house, all $6 million of it, all but burned to the ground. Of course, insurance would cover it, but there the pain of losing a house is as painful as it could get. There were memories there, mementos, and even belongings that could never be replaced anymore. We hope that Mathis has recovered from this traumatic event.
